Rootwell Software is a small, independent company. We design and build software products to make it easier to live a well-rooted lifestyle: connected to community, to culture, and to cosmos.
We care about software that is simple to use, quick to load, and doesn't steal your data.

How we build
Honest about what our software does
We describe our software as it is, including its limits. If something is unfinished, unreliable or can't do what you might expect, we say so rather than overselling it.
Your data stays yours
We collect user data only when the software genuinely cannot work without it, and never without telling you what we collect and why. When we don't need it, we don't take it. We regard the use of personal data for advertising to be a great evil in society.
AI that serves culture and the environment
We use AI to support human cultural achievement and to care for the environment, not to replace, exploit or damage them. If a use of AI works against those aims, we don't build it.
